The museum carries the name of its founder, Gülsüm Güral, who heads the NG education foundation, and it sits on Atatürk Bulvarı in Kütahya at the Kütahya Porselen Plaza, seven kilometres out of the centre. The museum describes itself as a non-profit institution open to the public, holding thousands of pieces, among them work from the Seljuk and Ottoman centuries and from the age of the European monarchies.
Its own account of itself does not go further than that — no room plan, no list of what is held — so what any particular visit will show is best asked of the museum. It is open every day of the week from 09:00 to 21:00 and closed on public holidays.
